About the Society

The Muskoka Steamship and Historical Society is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the preservation of the Steamship Heritage in Muskoka, including the world famous R.M.S. SEGWUN, the elegant WANDA Ill and the R.M.S. Segwun Heritage Centre with its extensive collection of artifacts from the steamship era. The Steamship Society has plans to further expand and enhance their collection of treasured artifacts and other assets but these types of artifacts are expensive to restore and maintain.

Memberships are their largest source of revenue for continuing this important work and they would like to ask you to consider becoming a member of The Muskoka Steamship and Historical Society.

Perhaps you have an artifact from the steamship era that you would consider donating or loaning to the Society, or photos or film of the early days in Muskoka to enhance their collection.

About Membership

An annual membership fee of $40.00 per family or $30.00 per individual allows you to become a valuable and necessary part of this worthwhile effort to ensure that this and future generations will be able to experience an important part of our heritage. All memberships and donations are tax deductible.

Active members receive Newsletters several times a year outlining current activities of the Society along with other interesting information including special cruises offered during each sailing season. A Members Day is held annually on the first sailing day of the season at which time all members in attendance enjoy a continental breakfast, a cruise on the Segwun and an opportunity to visit the Heritage Centre.

Finally, members are entitled to a 10% discount on regular Segwun Cruises and purchases at the Gift shop.
