Title: When the Darlings Met the Drays. James Darling, whose log house is in the Muskoka Pioneer Village, was my great grandfather. My mother, Ola (Darling)Dray, was born and went to school and St. Mary's Church in Aspdin. Her mother, Henrietta Hester (Stevens) Darling was organist at St. Mary's. Her father, John Darling, was a lumber mill operator at Aspdin and later a railroad employee in Muskoka and Parry Sound districts.

Looking for McCullough, Glover, Fawcett, Ferris, Goodwin, Mayes and Terry families. The McCulloughs and Fawcetts were from the Uffington, Draper Township area. John and Jane (Glover) McCullough had only daughters that survived. The above surnames are the families they married into. Jane Glover's mother was Anna Jane Ferris that came to Canada with her husband William Glover but I have no idea where they settled. We have nothing on John McCullough's siblings or ancestors but think there were relatives in the district.

I have seen some unconfirmed information that Thomas Fawcett was the Gold Commissioner during the Yukon Gold Rush.
